Hotel Casa Camper, Barcelona Spain
Casa Camper is a great little boutique hotel in the centre of the city, just off the Ramblas. Casa Camper is very clean, a great hot spot, with a free snack bar.
I love absolutely any hotel or venue with a rooftop terrace, or any terrace for that matter. I don't think anything beats an alfresco cocktail.
These guys also have a Casa Camper in Berlin, totally nailing two great cities. Can't wait to be back!
Cooking and Nature | Emotional Hotel, Alvados Portugal
So, this hotel I am yet to visit - but I have added to my list as it's most definitely on my to do.
I have heard the most wonderful things about this hidden hotel, set in Parque Natural das Serras de Aire e Candeeiros, 8 km from the underground lake at Gruta de Moinhos Velhos.
With an amazing boutique 12 rooms only, every wonderfully decorated room is themed to an emotion.
With a pool set in a garden forest, the blissful hotel will leave you feeling nothing but content. Small details make the hotel what it is; four poster beds, terraces, gilt fixtures. I'm truly excited for my visit here!
Breakfast and bike rentals are free. So for those adventerous guests, the open space is all yours to explore. I love biking, so hiring a bike and exploring the area would be first on my list. The restaurant offers cooking classes, and an honesty bar/lounge with a fireplace and terrace.
The Dude, Berlin Germany
This incredible boutique hotel is set in a 19th-century building, with high ceilings and fresh decor, is a perfect hidden boutique hotel. It's so special to stay in a hotel that reflects so much of the owner. Boutique hotels always have such a fabulous story. The Dude is situated minute's walk from anything you should want to see in Berlin, and has easy transport links to anything any further.
The rooms are all individually decorated to reflect the passions and designs of the owner, great brass beds and flatscreen TVs, plus complimentary wine and Wi-Fi throughout.

Aberdeen Lodge, Dublin Ireland
I instantly love the low key, homely feel of this fabulous boutique hotel in County Dublin. The Edwardian building facade of brick covered in an ivy dates reminds me of my childhood home, making me feel completely at ease. The hotel is close to a fair few points of interest, such as DART and the seaside. It's a great stop if you expect nothing too fancy and just want a cosy weekend away.
As expected; free WiFi and TVs in each room,, plus tea and coffee making facilities. The larger rooms offer 4-poster beds (my favourite) and large tubs for cosy nights in!.
Meals are available on site, including Irish breakfast, afternoon tea and wine, which are served in a drawing room. There is also a sister hotel nearby with a spa, which all guests are welcome to use.
360 Hotel, Athens Greece
My first point and favourite draw to any boutique hotel, the terrace is absolutely fantastic. This upscale, flawlessly decorated boutique hotel is a personal favourite. This hotel seems to book up 20 rooms rather quickly, so get in there fast!
360 Hotel is in a great city location, just a few minutes walk to the centre, close to a plethora of bars and restaurants.
All rooms generously decorated with fitted with a patio (yay!), room TV, hairdryers, and complimentary bathrobes.
Widder Hotel, Zurich Switzerland
A collection of old town houses have been fused toegther to create the elegant Widder Hotel. Located perfectly in the Bahnhofstrasse shopping district, it's just minutes from major transport links into the city. This cute boutique hotel is luxury at it's finest, and highly recommended for a short break in Zurich.
The decor is modern, yet the ambiance feels classically middle aged. The character shines in each and every individually decorated room, there is no other place I'd stay in Zurich.
Wi-Fi and TVs complementary, but better yet, each room is equipped with a Nespresso machine and minibars. The largest suites feature exposed beams, brick and fireplaces, not to mention standing tubs and roof terraces (yes! roof terraces).
The food is incredible, as you'd imagine, and you can eat alfresco on the terrace (woohoo).
For business travellers it's beyond perfect, including fitness suites, business centre and bar.

I travelled from Argegno and then left for Como the following day. The boat trip is such a highlight of the visit to this beautiful little town on the lake.
Hotel Miramare, Amalfi Coast Italy
The draw of this hotel is the fabulous location and hidden charm of the Amalfi Coast. Do not expect much for appearance, but expect the most amazing journey during your stay. The hotel is located moments from boat ports to around the coast.
The hotel is clean and the staff are considerate and friendly.
My favourite part of all, breakfast is served on the rooftop terrace with views of the beautiful coast. There is literally nothing better.
Basic but ideal.
